Wedding guest photo sharing (without the chase)

A lot of couples search wedding guest photo sharing and pick one place.

Share a link. Make a shared album. Start a chat. Everyone puts their pictures there, and the night lands in one set.

It feels sorted, until you open it on Sunday and the people who said they would never sent anything.

The link, the album, and the chat that guests leave

The plan sounds simple. You share a link, an album, or a group chat, and guests say they will add their photos. Then they forget. They leave the group. They never open the camera roll. The pictures stay on the phone that took them. The shared place has the people who remembered. It does not have the night.

Shared albums and upload pages that stay open

A shared album does not close. An upload page does not close. Guests add the speech, and they also add the taxi queue, the hotel breakfast, a screenshot, a blur from a pocket. Phone junk sits next to the vows. There is no sealed set. Anyone with the link can keep adding after the weekend, and you cannot tell what belongs to the wedding and what arrived later.

Names fall off, then the midnight scroll

The album does not keep a name you can trust on the picture. A name in the chat falls off. You scroll at midnight, trying to match a face to a message that has already moved on. Saturday was the wedding. Monday is the chase. Can you send that one again? Did you leave the group? A cousin says they uploaded and you cannot find it between the rest. You are still writing while they are back at work.

A few send the photos somewhere else instead. Now the night is split. Some of it in the album. Some of it in a chat. Some of it still on a phone that never uploaded. The set is the people who stayed. It is not the night.

A sealed guest camera, instead of a later upload

You do not need a better link. You need the pictures taken while the night is happening, and closed while they are still being taken. Not a gallery people fill from the camera roll the next day.

Polajoy is that place. A guest camera on the phones already in pockets. You set the wedding up yourself, free. Guests join with an event code and an account, so after the wedding the whole set can be sent. iPhone and Android.

Each guest shoots on a 30-shot roll. Ordinary guests hard-stop at 0. No second roll. A gifted or nominated photographer, the friend with the good eye, can start another free 30-shot roll. Ordinary guests do not.

After each shot, ten seconds to Accept or Void. Timeout or a screenshot voids it. A void does not spend a frame. A short handwritten note is optional, up to 34 characters. Initials always go on the frame. Then it seals until the reveal you chose. Not even you see it first.

When the reveal arrives, the shop is there if you want paper. Nothing auto-ships. Free downloads carry a small wordmark. £2.99 takes it off. Prints never have it.

You do not scroll a shared album at midnight. You do not message again for the people who left the group, or who never uploaded from the camera roll. The film is already on the phone, and it waits.

If the pictures were going under a hashtag, there is a note on wedding hashtag photos. If the plan was the group chat, there is a note on WhatsApp wedding photos. If the plan was Telegram, there is a note on Telegram wedding photos. If you want the method, how a couple actually gathers the pictures, there is a note on how to collect wedding photos from guests.

Setup is free. Pay only if you want prints afterwards. The complete guide walks through looks, table cards, and the reveal. These notes are written by Richard Lovatt, with Kitty. The rest live with the other articles.

A guest camera sits next to the photographer you booked. It does not replace them. Names we have written up live on the directory, including London, Bristol, Manchester, and Edinburgh.

We host a handful of weddings. Cash, or store credit and free products. Apply on the host page. We read every one.
