Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Polajoy. Polajoy is operated by Polajoy Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 17392851) ("we", "us", "our"). By using the app or buying anything through it, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Polajoy.

What Polajoy is

Polajoy is a wedding guest-camera app. Couples set up a wedding and choose a package; guests and photographers join to take a limited "film" of photos. Every photo is sealed the moment it is taken and cannot be viewed in the app. After the event, eligible photos are automatically printed and posted, and only then is the couple's digital gallery unlocked.

Your account

You sign in with your email address. You're responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for the activity that happens under your account. You must be old enough to enter a binding contract to make a purchase.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Polajoy to capture or share anything unlawful, abusive, or explicit. Photos are automatically screened before printing or release, and we may hold back or remove any content that breaches these terms or the law. We may suspend access for serious or repeated breaches.

Your photos

You keep ownership of the photos you take. By using Polajoy, you grant us the limited licence needed to store, screen, print, and deliver those photos to the couple as part of the service. We will never make your sealed photos browsable to anyone in breach of the seal described in our Privacy Policy.

Pricing and payment

Couples pay for a package, which is priced per photographer. Guests can shoot for free and may optionally buy keepsakes when they send their film. The exact price of anything you buy is always shown to you in the app before you pay. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; all prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.

Printing and delivery

Physical keepsakes are made to order and printed by our print partner after the event ends. Delivery timescales are estimates and can vary. Risk in physical goods passes to you on delivery.

Refunds

Because keepsakes are personalised and made to order, our refund position is set out in full in our Refunds Policy. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Availability

We work hard to keep Polajoy running but don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may update, change, or withdraw features from time to time.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for the loss of an individual photo where it has been withheld through moderation or lost through circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the current version; continued use after a change means you accept it.
